Democratic Alliance leader, John Steenhuisen, making important observations in his bizarre trip to Ukraine - which still has a lower rate of civilian deaths in war-time than the South African murder rate.

Former South African President Jacob Zuma infamously spoke about the dangers of ‘clever blacks’.

Whilst he likely referred to the dangers to his kleptocratic rule of erstwhile ANC supporters demanding constitutional rule of law, he did put his finger on a deep fragmentation in modern African states.

There are those looking to import the ‘best’ of liberal norms, who usually support secularism and modernization away from tradition, in opposition to those who support strong leaders and detest abortion and the LGBT agenda.

And this is something I have noticed in my travels through Africa - the neo-colonialism of liberalism in Africa.

As a white South African, I am increasingly aware of my greater sympathies lying with traditionally-minded Africans, rather than those educated alongside me in the first-world pockets of the continent.

This was increasingly clear during covid, when I experienced many times black colleagues bemoaning their compatriots reluctance to wear masks and get vaccinated.

I have referred previously to this mid-wit phenomenon in current political discourse.

Alexander Pope famously wrote that ‘a little learning is a dangerous thing, drink deep or not at all from the Pierian spring’ - the Pierian spring being the source of knowledge and wisdom. He was right. You are better off being simple than half-wise. Incomplete knowledge is very dangerous. It is better to be ignorant than ‘clever’.

This phenomenon is evident in the Bible, where Paul notes, in the mess that was late Roman culture: ‘Where is the wise person? Where is the teacher of the law? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?’

Yet, in the same letter to the Corinthians, he still asserts, ‘We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing… we have the mind of Christ.’

And thus the common folk have been proven wiser in their actions than the educated masses. Lockdown was untenable for them and now the unvaccinated nations of Africa are faring better than the ‘advanced’ European nations, where the wise have begun to point out that mass vaccination has not reduced mortality.

Never mind though, African leaders are still keen to build vaccine factories… And the ‘clever’ still will advise you to get injected with products currently being restricted in the US, as the entire health service was in South Africa.

Whilst the ANC is led by a classic midwit in Cyril Ramaphosa, who gave advice to Biden last month to keep going in the US’s insane affirmative action drive, the opposition party, the Democratic Alliance, who are less corrupt and provide better service delivery, is the better example of classic midwittery, as evidenced by the covid quackery of their leaders:

I have before argued that masking kids had some truly dark undertones. Their masking and isolation with teachers online honestly seems like grooming to me. It is no surprise that reports of suicide and mental illness have gone off the charts - along with the bizarre social contagion which is the desire to pretend you are of the opposite sex - possibly as a mechanism to appear as an ‘oppressed’ group rather than as the supposedly always guilty class of normal white people. Yes, the racial workshops in school are that damaging.

And now the Democratic Alliance (DA) has made the logical step from masking kids and locking them in their bedrooms with computers and Wi-Fi, to encouraging them to believe that there is such a thing as gender diversity and that boys can use girls toilets and share rooms with them if they sufficiently pass as girls.

Not content with the educational guidelines of the radically left-wing ANC, the DA has issued its own revolutionary guidelines for schools in the Western Cape - the sole province which they govern, along with its capital city, Cape Town:

“With the rise of homophobia, transphobia, and gender-based violence, these guidelines will fill the gap left by the National Department of Basic Education, which sadly references LGBTQ+ people only twice across 38 textbooks in nine school subjects,” it said.

DA Western Cape spokesperson on education, Lorraine Botha said that the policy aims to “sensitise public schools and the education environment to LGBTQ+ rights, in the promotion of a more inclusive approach and progressive realisation of our constitutional rights”.

Botha noted that in the Western Cape, transgender students are already the first in the country permitted to select the school uniform in line with their gender-identity.

“The new draft guidelines take this one step further – in the right direction,” Botha said. “If passed, the guidelines will allow for the department to train school learners, management, teachers, and governing bodies on the principles of gender and sexual diversity.”

By the way, there is no rise in homophobia. You can get fired from your job for expressing any disdain for it. Gender-based violence is also a highly flawed concept when you consider men are by a vast majority the greater number of crime victims.

In the guidelines, the DA instructs schools to allow children to choose male or female uniforms, to provide unisex bathrooms, to allow for non-gendered sleeping arrangements in boarding schools and school trips, and for the entry of transgender children to single-sex schools.

The guidelines pay lip service to parents’ wishes but still call for schools ‘not to be swayed by the subjective wishes of a particular group’. Instead schools must re-educate their communities in this cultural revolution that denies the most basic fact about humanity and willfully ignores the fact that this issue has been made up a few seconds ago, historically speaking.

One school in Cape Town already has kids wearing badges announcing their pronouns. Changing language, as Orwell predicted with ‘newspeak’, is always essential to totalitarian regimes.

The celebrated and renowned St Stithian’s College, a Methodist private school consisting of eight schools in Johannesburg, has gone one step further, admitting a transgender child, apparently to their girls college, and declared any concerns to be a function of ignorance and bigotry.

They openly acknowledge that parents DO NOT want this radical policy shift, but that they will be guided by the addled minds of social-media addicted, locked down, masked teenagers.

(And note: the LGBT ‘community’ encourages any child confused by the gender madness to begin chemical castration so as to prevent puberty onset before they can choose the construction of ‘appropriate’ genitalia.)

The school claims that diversity in gender ‘brings enormous strength to our College’.

Yes, the clever leaders of elite institutions, the ones who follow science, are capable and ready to make the most evidence-free, most destructive of statements such as these.

This is the darkest of midwittery: imitation of a global elite schooled in a zealous antagonism to Christianity and western tradition, in a desire to be clever, to be enlightened, to be ‘woke’.

In South Africa, it is often assumed that the DA is conservative, because it opposes the ‘National Democratic Revolution’ of the ANC. But it turns out their revolution is biological and involves altering children’s view of humanity.

Now, ask yourself, what regime would you prefer to live under? The incapable, violently corrupt left-wing ANC, or the capable, insanely anti-human DA?

I know which one I would choose.
