Microplastic particles have been discovered deep in the lungs of living people for the first time, the Guardian reports.

Tiny pieces of plastic had previously been discovered in babies’ stool, in pregnant women’s placentas, and in adult blood.

We also know that the atmosphere is filled with these particles as well as the ocean.
